Two new men emerged, and Konyar turned around.

“Hello there!” one began. “I wonder, could any of you be of any help to us? I’m looking for a little girl, about twelve years old. She has silver hair, blue eyes, and a light pink blouse on.”

A little startled by the appearance of yet another stranger, Konyar blinked at him for a moment before confessing, “I’m sorry, sir. We haven’t. In fact, I, along with my friend here”–he gestured to Rilyn– “just sorta…appeared here. Do you–are you the lord of this castle?” Konyar couldn’t help asking because these two men almost seemed to emit an arora that demanded respect–or, like one of them was highly intelligent while the other was at least entitled to a throne of some kind.

They were staring quizzically at the cave that had slid open behind them, and Konyar nodded, almost sympathetically. “Yeah… I have no idea what that is.. Do you?”
