@cindy I only started writing for real like . . . two years ago? Maybe a bit more. So it hasn’t been long, but even then most of my writing time was spent on my first (attempted) novel. I finished the first part of that (around 35000 words) several months ago. But I decided to scrap it because it was trash. So yeah.

As for poetry, I’ve tried it now and then but not very successfully. I normally think it’s acceptable when I first finish the piece, but then I come back to it two weeks later and I’m going *facepalm* *wretching noises*.

That’s a huge part of the reason why I appreciate your poetry so much. I think it’s really cool that you’re able to write on the level that you do . . . without making it seem corny or wannabe or anything like that. That’s something that I wish I could do.

Maybe I just need more practice with poetry. But honestly, my fiction is so much better. And I find it’s more natural for me. Fiction is my thing. I guess poetry is yours.
