-regular story form?
-“dear diary” form?
-something else?
Also, question. Are we allowed to have first person in there too? Like, in most of the 2nd person stories I’ve written (coughcough… only two… XD) it’s been written something…[Read more]

Myrantul shuddered as her author stood with her, looking through the cracked doorway into the people-filled room. She shuddered again when the author mercilessly pushed her into the room.
Then she sat down in a corner, hoping no one noticed her.

Ooh, this is a great post! I’ve been struggling recently to write consistently. I’ve never thought that I should write *every* day, but right now I’m to the point where I write almost *no* days. major facepalm Not good. XD
But these are great tips, and when I get out of school for the summer in a little over a week, I’m going to sit myself down a…[Read more]

This is great! I especially love the one about getting enough sleep… sleep is so much more important that most people think it is. Also, I don’t think she mentioned this, but drinking lots of water can help you feel a TON better… it’s crazy! XD
realizes I have barely had any water today and goes to remedy that…

Mairin Atha replied to the topic {The Writing Life – Week 4, Martin} Cultivating the Eye of an Artist in the forum Announcements 7 years ago
Wow, this is an amazing post!! I think when we are always searching for the beauty around us, it is that much harder to see the ugly. And maybe we should view the ugly as an opportunity to brighten the beautiful. I love looking for beauty everywhere (it’s what made my time in Cambodia beautiful, to be honest). And even now, in less than beautiful…[Read more]

Hi again, MEERKATs! 🙂
I’ve written a short story for a contest, and it’s due Thursday, so I’d love to have some more eyes on it! I just started writing it on Friday, so it might still be a little rough, but that’s why I need feedback. 😉 I’d love any kind of feedback (no kidding, tear it apart ), but specifically:
1. does it make sense? Do y…[Read more]

Mairin Atha replied to the topic {Story Theory – Week 18} DISCUSSION: Should you write when you don't want to? in the forum Announcements 7 years, 1 month ago
XD This is true, Thomas.
Honestly, I’ve been struggling with this recently. I’m… usually not inspired these days and it is FAR too easy to use that as an excuse to not write. But also, I think it is good to get back your love for writing. In other words, don’t write without inspiration, but don’t *let* yourself not have inspiration. (And I do…[Read more]
