I’m not sure if this helps, but something I struggle with a lot is figuring out how to progress my plots and connect them to the characters well.

-gasps- -faints- The… the Hobbit movies!? Oh my. I think… I think I’m just gonna go now…
The HP books are better than the movies. But the movies are still good. I like them both. Also. Which Percy Jackson series have you read? Just PJ and the Olympians or any others too?

Veraza Winterknight replied to the topic Has anyone read books by Bryan Davis? Anyone? in the forum Knaphollow Writing Discussions 7 years, 4 months ago
-sighs- Nope. I haven’t read those either. Goodness. Well at least you’ve read the same author! I didn’t really know of anyone else that had read him at all. Apparently I need to read more of his books…

Hello @maddiejay!
One thing I’ve been struggling with is the editing process. I have never done it before, but I just finished writing the first book in my series, and I have no idea how to edit. I can tell it needs a lot of work, but I’m too overwhelmed and unequipped to know where to start. Perhaps that would be a good topic?

Katherine Baker replied to the topic Poem without a Happy Ending in the forum Knaphollow Writing Discussions 7 years, 4 months ago
As I was typing up my responses, I just remembered that David wrote one Psalm where he didn’t come back to praising God in the end. Perhaps that needs to be my guide.
Anyway, to what you all said:
Thank you very much. I’m blushing a bit because this is one of the “lowest” poems I’ve written and liked, if you understand my meaning. It…[Read more]

That was astounding. Wow. I agree with what @maddiejay and @kari-karast have said, though; I don’t think you necessarily need a happy ending.
Of course, as someone who frequently writes poetry and that poetry is frequently not-too-happy, I could be biased… but I think the important thing, when having dark or sad poetry, is to either give a m…[Read more]

Precisely! The Dawn Treader was just… yeah… I mean, they could’ve just stuck to the book. But did they? No. No they did not. They just had to go and add a whole nother quest! Although I did like how they portrayed Eustace. That’s pretty much how I pictured him acting.
Really!? That’s cool! -hopes they get around to making th…[Read more]

So have I! And contrary to popular opinion, I like Prince Caspian the best. Even though The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is still really good and super close to the book.
Also, I have looked it up before, and they are currently making the Silver Chair as a movie. So… there’s that. I want them to make the Horse and His Boy or the…[Read more]

Hi all!!! -waves wildly- I’m so excited I’m finally in a guild!!!
I’m 13. I’m an ENFP. I love reading and writing. I pretty much only write fantasy. Although a couple of my story ideas could probably be classified as Sci-Fi too. I have a total of 4 storylines. All 4 of which are supposed to be different series. Plus several ideas for short…[Read more]

@maddiejay YES. It is so underrated… I finally got the last book last month, so now I finally own the whole thing. Absolutely amazing, 10/10, all the recommendations.
Now I am left to wonder what Paolini will write next.
And thank you! Conquer together!
