As for the king. Maybe he’s fighting at the front on one of the other islands at the border of his kingdom? That could be why the villain send his spy to the capital in the first place. He knew that if most of the army would fight elsewhere he could safely move his plans and maybe even use his weather machine as soon as possible. As the king wouldn’t be there to defend the most important city in his land. That could be why all the king’s ships are gone too and they have to use Basil’s ship. And it could be why Gisette feels it’s her responsibilty to do something about it, as she doesn’t get a change to tell her father about what’s going on.

Now that we’re talking about the king and queen… I decided to make some more concept art! I’m still not sure about what the king would wear. I’m not that good at designing clothes, so if you guys have some suggestions, please go ahead. x’D
