@theclumsy_lamplighter Amen!!!!
That’s cool. I have several friends who love to take my characters and draw them anime style for me. My sister–not @theresa-play (who really should be a professional artist because she’s that good) also draws for me. My drawings are pretty bad in comparison lol. I draw maps and such, but that’s about it.
I’ve got…[Read more]

@kari-karast Hey thanks. Since I see you’re a Star Wars fan, I was imagining something similar to (but not exactly like) the interrogation probes. But since this character is trained to resist interrogation, they then have to catch her off guard be a bit more inventive.
Your idea is a good one though. I’ll keep it in mind as I get closer to the…[Read more]

@theclumsy_lamplighter What kind of illustrations do you do? Just your own or do you take requests? Did you draw your profile pic?

There was an idea, on KingdomPen, that each person’s username would represent them in a group book someone was writing. There was fan art and everything for it. My sister @thersa-play requested to be a centaur in the book. I wasn’t very involved at that time so I became known as Alia’s sister or the Centaur’s…[Read more]

@selah-chelyah Thanks! I was born with it.
@ashira I’m 20 (I know, I’m old) but I started on KP at 16. I love the way all these guys set up everything.

@sarah-inkdragon That’s a good point. (don’t worry, you made total sense to me lol) She may not even need to lose the eye due to infection, I just need her to have a need to replace right eye with a cybernetic one following the torture and rescue/escape (I’m undecided on that still).
It is a futuristic sci-fi/dystopian world so they have a lot of…[Read more]

I figured I should officially introduce myself…probably should have done this first, but oh well.
Hi, I’m Charis. I’m @theresa-play ‘s sister. For those of you from KP, you’ll probably get my @name but for those who started here on SE…well, I’ll tell you if you ask.
Since this is a writing site, I’m sure y’all’ll be curious about favorite…[Read more]

@taylorclogston Thanks, Eragon was a good reminder. I had forgotten those scenes. What does IMO stand for?
@ashira I haven’t heard of SE, what is it? it sounds good!

@selah-chelyah Yes, we’re sisters. @theresa-play just likes to pretend she’s not related, but being a centaur was kinda a dead giveaway….

I wasn’t sure where to put this question (plotting? themes? I don’t know) so I’m shoving it here. I figure @daeus-lamb can yell at me later if it’s in the wrong spot (joking, joking…please don’t yell at me).
Ok, on to the question: in my current book, a character is going to be tortured to the point of leaving major scars and even losing an eye…[Read more]
