When Alessio pivoted toward the doorway Nithel jumped to his feet.

He grabbed the bag the Son of Aden had been told to pick up, before he disappeared. Shoving dried fruits in as well as the potatoes, he ran his dry tongue over his teeth.

Brendin was following Alessio, and the woman was giving the giant lizard a remark. We are going to destroy ourselves… This castle need do nothing. Nithel pulled in a slow breath, and kept his mouth shut, though the dragon could have understood that.

Alessio had disappeared inside. And Bredin. Noy. Nithel hefted the bag while grabbing the box of ‘chocolate’ and darting after.

Nithel almost ran into Brendin, who was behind Alessio. But he didn’t, bare feet sweaty, and making more noise than he liked. No no no… Then he shivered, Woe, and he shivered again.

Nithel still said nothing.
