Nithel’s chest thudded, and he tumbled. Falling again. He growled, trying to grab hold of something, but there was nothing.

He landed with a thud. The ground not like a bed this time. A stone jabbing his back. His teeth gritted, and he growled, eyes blinking several times.

He looked to the ceiling. There was no ceiling, then there was.

Zounds. His eyes widened, and he laid frozen a moment.  That… wasn’t impossible. He heard others near him and struggled to roll over, looking about. People. A good amount.

He turned his shoulders to look the other way. Jaylin.
