Dagger K blinked, still processing all that had just happened. “Yeah. He’s even stranger than I thought he would be.”

The Immortal gave Dagger a pointed look.

“What? He is.” Dagger turned back to the viewing portal. “Oh look. He’s going to involve himself directly.”

The Immortal looked at the scene. “Hm. Just as long as he doesn’t do anything… drastic.”

Dagger shrugged. “Who knows. He probably wants to mess with Calexia. Or something.”

“Or something.” The Immortal’s voice was dry.

Dagger shrugged and zoomed in on the group holding Korzen. “Now isn’t this delightful. They achieve their goal, but then even more trouble pops up. Now let’s just add to all this lovely torture.”

She made a sudden motion with her fingers. Suddenly Dagger was holding a miniature throwing knife. She grinned and flicked it into the viewing portal, it struck Korzen, disappearing into his head. Kor showed no sign of noticing though.

The Immortal raised an eyebrow. “And…?”

Dagger merely grinned wider. “Just wait and see. After all, don’t twins sometimes have… special bonds?”

Eiri winced and poured more of her power into the fire wall, it was the only thing keeping the ice away from her and Lex. And she was going to protect Lex, Colorado trusted her to. But she was going to save Scarlet too.

She winced again at everything Scarlet was yelling. Whoever this hunter person Scarlet thought she was sounded horrible. “Scarlet! I didn’t do any of those things! It’s a trick! A lie! You’re just seeing things!” Eiri looked at Calexia desperately. “Lex! Isn’t there something you can do to fix him!?”

Kor didn’t understand what was happening. One minute he’d being staring at the supposedly inhabited knife, the next… his vision went black and he was being assailed by a wave of emotions that weren’t his own.

Fear.

Confusion.

Helplessness.

Then, he saw images flashing by.

A wall of strangely colored flames.

Ice clashing with the fire.

A side view of Calexia wearing some sort of cloak.

A distorted Scarlet on the other side of the fire and ice.

The images repeated rapidly, flashing by faster and faster. Then the emotions returned, stronger than before, almost overpowering.

Kor’s vision darkened again and cleared.

He was on the ground, surrounded by the others. Who were all looking at him worriedly.

“Um… Kor? Are you alright?” Jake was next to Avery who reached down and offered Kor a hand to help him up.

Kor took it gratefully and got to his feet. “I am. But… I don’t think Eiri is…”

“What do you mean?” It was West, looking concerned.

“Something just happened. I don’t know what it is. But I felt and saw things. I think it might be what Eiri’s feeling and what she’s seeing. Or saw.” Kor bit his lip, worried for his twin.

@the-fledgling-artist Please don’t think I’m stealing what happened to Jake. Cuz I’m not. I’m really not. I got the idea from a couple of my other characters and from the new book I started.
