Really well done with the dialogue. Have sentences that you know the ending of is really cool, because it shows that they’ve been dwelling on it. That it hurts. And the “blaming” inanimate objects is also lots of fun. Very real too.
Tip for this bit would be to work on showing the emotion a bit more. “Frustration and fear welled up inside him as he glared accusingly at the cabin door.” Instead, try mention the internal sensations. When you feel fear and frustration, typically, you are feeling your chest tighten, fist clench, heart beat harder, an ache in your chest. Having those things being described a lot can help make the emotion clear without saying the name. That tends to give the section more strength and make the readers connect even more.
