They kinda just ‘happened to me’, I guess XD

The contemporary fic was my first project, which spawned from me wondering what life might have been like if I would’ve had a twin.
Then I watched Star Wars and got the idea to make my own version that directs less attention to midi-chlorians, more attention to God.

Then, I discovered how much correlation there is between the stories in the Bible and contemporary history. For example, in the book of Esther, the feast where King Xerxes banished Vashti was likely just before he went to war with Greece. Years went by, and then he eventually returned after losing almost his entire naval fleet in a single battle. It was at this point that he put out the decree to find a new queen.
This gave me the idea to write some books that combine Biblical history, contemporary history, and a smidge of fiction to fill in the holes between the two. Obviously, a major undertaking. As such, far from started. XD But yeah, that’s what my historical fictions primarily are.

My contemporary fiction story has a prequel dating back to the Civil War, though, so theres some his-fic there, too.

Then sometime after I joined YWW, I was having a discussion with another writer regarding the animal world, and I got the idea to make a story about a world where the people can shapeshift into different animals of prey. One tribe turns into wolves, another tribe becomes eagles, a tribe of jaguars, a tribe of tigers, etc. And I’m throwing in parallels to Biblical history (a parallel creation/fall story, a global deep-freeze that only one family survived by building a massive underground fortress, “the Citadel”, and so forth).

Finally, I watched Hunger Games, Divergent, Maze Runner, and other dystopians, and I got the impression that they are all so much alike. Humanity broke up into “factions”, utopian government that is actually evil, a “chosen one”, etc I wanted to try and write a dystopian that could maybe not use so many stereotypes.

20 WIPs? Man! I think you might have at least one up on me.

If you’re writing around 9/11, out of curiosity, legit foreign terror attack, or inside job?
