    @slisby @lin @the-fledgling-artist

    *looks at David* guys.

    WE HAVE OUR FIRST FAN.

    *throws a party*

@i-David Hello and welcome to the emotional train wreck that is our beloved story. Buckle up because it’s rough. But also beautiful. *proceeds to laugh and cry at the same time* ALSO I’M GLAD TO SEE YOU ARE SUPPORTIVE OF KISETTE BECAUSE YES.

ALSO WAAAGHHH SO MUCH TO SAY, SO LITTLE TIME

    A) CLARION’S REF SHEET AAAAAHHHHH—*shriek*

Also, I really love the idea of Clarion tending to Basil whilst they are all discussing the adventure! Plus that already puts the “momfriend” image at the forefront of the readers mind!

    B) Gisette’s parents names—I. LOVE. JORAH. And as far as the mom goes, I vote Evolet 😀

    C) The villain: YES A FOIL CHARACTER FOR THE CHARACTERS NDDBFBRFHJEBFHJBEFHJFE

    AND AND AND AND AND

    DAVID HAS A POINT GUYS

LIKE, OKAY, IT’S LIKE HE HAS THE BRAINS OF KESTER/BASIL TOO WITHOUT THE EMOTIONS

HE COULD BE YOUR STANDARD SOCIOPATH AND JUST CARES NOTHING FOR THE WORLD AND EXERCISES POWER JUST BECAUSE HE HAS IT

BUT THAT ALSO SEEMS A LITTLE DARK SO I’m gonna stop capslocking now.

maybe not a sociopath. But maybe someone who has very much been scarred, probably too much, and took it all the wrong ways and became a bad person because of it. Because why does he not trust anyone, like Basil?

OORRRRR maybe he’s not like, inherently bad—like, Kester is a jerk, but he’s not one of the bad guys. Why? Well, Kester has an arc. Will the villain have an arc? Will he be redeemed? Or does he not even think that he’s doing anything wrong?

IS he doing something wrong? I mean, he’s a king conquering other kingdoms. Societies have been doing that since, like, the beginning of time. What makes the bad king a bad king? He uses technology?

SO COMPLICATED. AUGH. *throws a chair*

    D) Okay, I’ve been having some thoughts about Clarion. Sarah, is she going to have an arc? A defining moment?

I was actually wondering about this because yk in life, sometimes just because someone is helpful doesn’t mean that they don’t NEED help. Like. It might even mean that they need help badly in some way, but they distract themselves by helping and advising other people. Which just made me think of poor Clarion behind all her helpfulness as this poor girl who is terribly sad because her parents left her on her own? And she potentially feels unloved? Or, is she already over that?

I don’t know. For some reason I feel like Clarion is the type of person who loves to help because when she needed help there was no one, and she wouldn’t want anybody else to have to suffer that fate. *shrug* Thoughts?
