I would handle the problem by having the character interact with the world as they see it. Sights, sounds, smells – all the senses. In this way we get the details of everyday life but don’t slip into infodumping – if done right, that is. I put down the tray. A library would be amazing – I always dream about books anyway. After a moment’s thought I pick up the tray and set it in the kitchen. Then I follow Grace and a couple of other Saxon Scribes. To the library we go!

“Aww, thank you!” I can’t help but grin as I tag behind Eden, the smell of cookies and cocoa powder still heavy in the air. I can barely smell it anymore as my senses grow used to it, but the air changes when I exit the kitchen. I run after Eden, my smile growing wider with every step I take.

Right now all I can think of is someone calling, “someone yell at me to write” and someone online answers with “GO WRITE”, but that may not be very efficient, @eden-anderson?

That’s not bad of an idea. I currently don’t have any words down at the moment and someone telling me to go work and be productive could work 😀

I glance at Kate and see her hesitation. “I miss it,” I answer quietly. “It was beautiful.” I smile sadly. “It still is.”
