See, then we can be tall in our own kinds!! So though you may be on the smaller scale of humans, you are quite tall as a hobbit!
I haven’t had a really good game in forever… It can be a painful game when nobody is paying attention and everybody keeps rolling horrible numbers and can’t get a certain type of card…
That’s something though, I’m still tripping along the wall. I guess I just haven’t gained confidence on the ice yet because as much as I love being on it, I don’t want to fall because one, I have no extra padding which makes the fall hurt, two I hate being cold. It was hilarious though, a girl and I were ice skating at SMA, and when we walked outside, we had gotten so cold that when we walked outside we were suddenly covered in condensation.
Ugh, that’s awful!!! I hadn’t heard all of that, but that is… horrible. I am a bit of a doll lover… have been one my whole life. I love making dolls, and stuffed animals for that matter (the first time we watched The Christopher Robin Movie I spent the whole time critically watching Pooh and taking into account everything I could gather about his bear making).
O.K. I can see also, how a smaller property could be a little more freaky. Ours is fourteen acres, and it’s just woods and pasture pretty much beyond that. There is a little house that sometimes is occupied, but we can’t see it from most of the property. We’re pretty isolated, which is a little hard because of the drive, but really, really nice…
Oh, that’s awesome! I should do that sometime… Especially because my bed is shoved up against the window. XD I agree with that as well, I just don’t even want to think about how hopeless it would be to live my life believing that I held the keys to my own autonomy and happiness. If I did, I’d be miserable, and it’s so sad to think about people who go through really hard things believing that they don’t have hope beyond whatever hope they can scrounge up from this world…
I’m glad you have enjoyed talking about it, I know I keep saying this, but I feel the same way. I have a few friends that I really love and am close to, and one friend who is pretty much my adopted sister, but some of my closest friends right now I know through SE as well. <3
I totally agree with that… Stories have had some of the biggest impacts on my life, and I firmly believe that they have had an incredible impact on society as a whole. I believe that if some stories had not been written, maybe some things would be different. It’s almost a little bit scary as a writer to realize the responsibility I have as a storyteller. God made me to be a storyteller, and writing is one way that I do that, but when I think about my writings, it’s a little frightening to realize that my stories can impact lives for good or ill, and I am actually wielding a power to even change the way people think. All of us writers have this power. That’s one reason I was so thrilled about the SE Manifesto, I really hope that Christian writers will write with that sort of mindset. I really do think that our writing is a weapon that we will either use to fight for Christ, or against him. That’s what my signature means. It’s elvish for Write for war! Write for light!
As far as Tash… Oh Narnia!!!! I had never read about him or even heard about him until I listened to the audio drama of The Last Battle. The scene where Tash walks through the forest was a little creepy for me the first time I heard it.
I LOVE The Secret of Nihm!!!! That’s one of the kids movies I can’t get over… and one of the things that made me afraid of needles I think. That scene where they give the rat the injection… Oh boy… *shivers*
I need to watch The Adventures of Tintin, I’ve been told it was really good.
