1) Name: Something with a J or an M or N.

Very close. K’Nika, which has an N. her full name so far is K’Nika Ceubherna.

 

2) Age: Maybe 16 to 20?

This is a picture of her at the start of the story. I’ll do other pictures of her later but she changes throughout the story. At the beginning she’s around 14-15, (the story covers roughly seven years) so you were close.

 

3) Career/Role in Story: MC

Yep! One of them. I’ll do the others next.

She was a part of the Allawn Tribe, a fantastical version of Native Americans with a slight twist. Each family in the Tribe is called a clan, and there are nine, each wearing a different color that shows others which clan they belong to. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, white, black and brown. K’Nika’s is black.

Her family and the rest of the clans were taken captive by the Thabian Empire, and she is the only one that escaped.

 

4) Personality: Shy, smart, curious…?

She isn’t shy but fearful of people. She’s super smart, as her tribe were not just warriors, hunters and farmers, but scientists. And she has the passion of studying both the chemical elements and magical ones. She curious definitely. Determined, loyal, but she’s also sly, a liar and a thief.

 

5) Would you be friends with that character?: Well, yeah! She’s got purple eyes!

Yeah! Purple eyes are common in her tribe, not so much elsewhere.

 

6) Any other details you may have gotten from the picture: here eyes are purple and have like a snow flake pattern on them.

I didn’t think anyone would notice the pattern lol, it was the pattern that showed the brightest purple, and I wanted the purple to stand out.

 

7) What would this character’s nickname be?: icicle? (If she has any connection with snow like her snowflake eyes suggest.)

Lol no. Hm.. Idk though. She doesn’t have one at this point in the story.

 

8) Character’s greatest strength: She’s pretty.

Her smarts, her stealth, knowledge in all things chemistry and magic.

 

9) Character’s fatal flaw: She has a hard time talking with people?

She lies a lot and steals to stay alive. She stays away from other people for the most part, so I guess you’d be right.

 

10) Phrase that this character is likely to say: “I’m not sure.”

Actually she would say the opposite. She knows a lot.

 

11) Character’s favorite color(s): Purple?

Hm maybe. Her tribe has this special purple crystal called lighlorite which comes from lightning. She likes that shade. But she also remains loyal to her clan and wears black a lot.

 

12) Characters family status (parents alive? any siblings or other close family members?): Hmm, I have no idea.  But I think she would have an older brother.

Hmm well she thinks they are enslaved by the Thabians or dead. I haven’t thought much about her family yet. Probably both parents, an older brother, and little sister too.

 

13) Single or taken?: Single.

14) Characters children (if any?): I don’t think so.

Collecting and figuring out the chemical and magical elements of her world. Science.

 

16) Greatest fear: falling.

That’s an Interesting fear. However she fears being found out and she fears the Thabians.

 

17) Dreams and Aspirations: want’s to just live a simple life.

I mean, she wants her family back. Her clan.  Her tribe. She wants to finish her element “table.”

 

18) Darkest Secret: no one wants to know…

Lol right. She knows the Allawn secrets, and created this super dangerous weapon, and stuff, but she hasn’t even done any of the major stuff at this point.

 

19) Peculiarities: purple eyes.

Lol right.

 

20) The meaning of their name, (Either real meaning or your own story meaning): wind? Snow? Something weather related?

Hmm I don’t know. I made the first name up completely.

The name Kannika, which is similar, means “night-flowering jasmine” (a type of flower) in Thai. It’s definitely her, I’ve looked up pictures.

Of course in Worthian, the language of her people, it probably means something like midnight or blue moon. Hm.

Her last name is cool. The names of each clan is the combination of the color in Irish and Czech.

Her clan is black, and in Czech, black is černá. In Irish, black is dubh. So that’s where I get Ceubherna.
