@april-j-rhys Thanks for the welcome! *curtsies* Well, I’ve been writing ever since I can remember, but recently it’s grown from a hobby to…something more. I want to write high-quality, meaningful stories, not just for entertainment, but to point people to God. Story Embers has been the answer to prayer in helping me with this goal.

I actually haven’t shared the premises of my WIP yet (so you haven’t missed anything :P) but here it is: With the help of her siblings, Maerielle, a rare wielder of water magic, must heal the Enchanted Forest, the life source of the Portal between Earth and a planet called Quilvanya. If she fails, an evil emperor from that planet will conquer Earth into a slave colony and kill her. If she succeeds, she will never again see the Earth she saved and will have to live with a family curse.
