The little girl was with her. She wasn’t with the doctor guy.

A weight lifted off of Vicq’s back, albeit a small one. She smiled weakly at the girl, canines catching on her lips, “I think we’re in another world again. The world my Alpha, that nice man who was sleeping on the ground when you found me, is stuck in. It’s all grey, though, so I can’t really tell what type of place we’re in.”

The girl screwed up her eyebrows and looked outside of the cage, “It’s not all grey. The sky is, but those trees are green and the people are wearing colors.”

Vicq peeked over the girl’s shoulders, but once again saw just greys except for a few lighter blues and yellows. The height was still dizzying, and Vicq pulled back and stayed strong for the little girl.

something poked the cage, and Vicq looked up to see a guard, bread dangling in his hand, “Food for the day, misses. And your water.”

Vicq let the little girl have the food and most of the water, while she only had a gulp. Not hungry, and she was growing, needed food.

“What’s your name?” the girl asked after a long period of silence.

“Vicq Levia Blakemore, you?”

“Ash,” the little girl said quietly, then added, “I miss my brother.”

Vicq gave a sad smile, “I know, I miss Aiden, but we have to stay strong. We’ve only been here a day. Maybe we can get out.”

The little girl nodded and soon fell asleep. Vicq, however, could not. She stared at the four-mooned sky in wonder, waiting for a familiar shape to come out of the woods.
