Vicq could see Aiden lowly growling in his induced sleep, and her ecstasy slid off of her mind. She scooted next to him and lay a hand on his face, searching it. There was a  guarded quality to it, as if he was going up against a clever opponent. She blew a breath out.

“I wish I was there with you, maybe I could help,” she voiced, and the sound of a crack made Vicq’s head jolt up. <i>Rifle!</i> it wasn’t safe here!

Vicq grabbed her alpha by his shoulders and attempted to haul him over her shoulders. Aiden was too heavy, and when Vicq dropped him she saw a little girl talking to the older doctor that had hovered over her. that’s also not good. 

setting her pinkies to her teeth, Vicq let out a sharp and loud whistle. The little girl turned to her and tilted her head, then turned back to the man, who looked up at Vicq. His eyes glinted and a slow smile came onto his face. “Found you” he mouthed and Vicq’s ears went flat onto her head. The little girl watched as Vicq’s face contorted in fear and anger and how the Doctor’s just smiled in happiness.

she ran over to Vicq, “Are you a good guy?”

Vicq nodded and the little girl smiled, then pointed at a boy Vicq remembered from the beginning of this adventure, “He’s my brother!”

That was the quip boy. What was it? Phoenix? “Isn’t he missing you?”

“No, he’s fighting other Villains right now,” she said, and Vicq looked up at the Doctor, who was closer to her than the time before. She looked back at Aiden, and a heavy mist fell laden on her mind. The girl sagged on her feet and Vicq let her onto her back despite her own exhaustion.

The doctor still approached on Vicq, and she feebly drew her sword to defend. where has this exhaustion come from? His smile widened as the girl on Vicq’s back became dead weight and dragged her down to the ground. The doctor stood above Vicq now, a syringe in one hand, but the black edges of her vision were enveloping her whole brain now. She couldn’t even feel anything anymore, much less the prick of the calming solution.

Vicq woke up in a cage. She felt weird, not altered or changed in any way, just weird. The sky was grey outside of the bamboo bars, and the air seemed to ripple. She turned around once to see her surroundings and found she was in a suspended cage, from what seemed to be a town or city wall. The ground was too far below her and the bars seemed to close in on her as she scrambled back to the center of the tiny cage.

“Aiden?” She whispered, then brought her voice louder, “Aiden?”
