@missfaeriekaiti No, I haven’t yet! But I did see the giveaway and totally snagged it to read at a later date! I just started Snowflakes, the compilation of short stories that goes with the Snow Queen books. I heard Red Rope of Fate was basically her tribute to LOTR, so I’m super excited! XD

Yes, so agreed! Stereotypical and shallow are definitely how I would define cliche! I’m a total happy ending and fairy tale kinda gal too XD Hahaha! I like the bittersweet ones when they’re well done. For instance, Marissa Meyer’s Heartless ended tragically–of course, we knew it would from the beginning as it’s the story of how the Queen of Hearts came to be the Queen of Hearts–yet it was so exceptionally well done that I couldn’t help but love it. It was clever and wove in so many different aspects to bring us to the end in such a beautiful way. The ending didn’t fall short of the journey; it wasn’t anticlimactic in any way. I wouldn’t call it cliche or dissatisfying, though it wasn’t a very happy ending by any stretch of the imagination.

Oh! I love that little series! I’ve read them all and eagerly await the next! I actually was kind of put out about Coralina cause, well, you know. But I hope you’re right and we see that rectified in later stories! I do understand the need for her to get what was coming to her, but at the same time…that was harsh–not the actual what happened (*realizes how vague this is XD) but the other character completely pushing her away is what upset me. That could have been so fantastic! Even after she learned her lesson, he still pushed her away! Sadness!
