If we go that route, would we go back to the original thing where he just doesn’t get any recognition and goes back to the chimney sweep life without having any decision to make? Or would we want to give it a warmer ending? Or does he have a choice and he chooses the “new life” since the fire pixie died, which could be symbolic of the end of his old life, resulting in a bittersweet ending?
