‘Parimis.’ So, so far that looks like what we are! Unless anyone has other suggestions? We could also give ourselves a separate name in Quenya to fit the whole, ‘Elven’ thing.

@j-a-penrose Yeah, ‘Parimis’ is a cool name for us, but what other options in Quenya do we have?

@everyone – I think our world should be an island or continent with different biomes, that way we can fit more of everyone’s ideas in. I suggest a mountain at the center of the continent (that is always a good way to start, right? 😛 ), the name of which we will determine. One part of the continent could be a rainforest like @steward-of-the-pen suggested, and there could be a village comprised of houses on stilts with no technology. Another part of the island could have deciduous trees, some of which have really exotic-colored leaves (my suggestion), and there could be an elven-type city in that forest, maybe our capital. (We could make up a name for it in Quenya, too!) For steampunk, we could have an industrial harbor city that way we can trade with other people in distant islands.

Once everyone decides, I might be able to draw a map for us. 😀

Here are all the suggestions for the world of Parimi Alca that we have so far:

Name: Parimis ; something else in Quenya
Genre: Fantasy or fantasy/steampunk
Symbol: Something to do with a star, flame, or lantern ; lantern made out of gears ; a quill pen with a star behind it (I just thought of this one. A quill pen would be good because of the “Written World of Light”)
Quirks to our culture: bracelets and other identifying objects with our symbol on them; (We still need more in this department!)
Pets: Small dragons that perch on your shoulder (maybe they are messengers) who love collecting metal things to create steampunk armor for themselves; larger dragons that you can ride (they can be our guardians); another option for dragons is that they are mechanical, to fit in better with steampunk.
What our world looks like: island or continent with different biomes (subject to change)
We are here in one spot because: …I got nothin’. *shrugs* Maybe we were sent here from the Kingdom of Pen to colonize the island. xD
Legends, myths, heroes: Maybe an ancient dragon who has a cave on the side of the mountain and a hoard of shiny metal things. He is said to be responsible for all the lost spoons, gears, and other metal objects of Parimi Alca.
Magic system: No one has suggested anything. Personally, I would be fine without a magic system (they are slightly complicated), but I will leave that to everyone else.
Other suggestions: A ranking system? What kind of weapons do we have in our world? Do we have elves or dwarves or dryads in our world?
