@anne_the_noob14 Ooh, Lucas sounds really cool! I like the botany part. It sounds like he might get along well with Caedon, one of my newest charries.
So here’s him:
Caedon of Solina is a very quiet, solemn twelve-year old with dark hair and blue-green eyes. Even when he was a baby he was always serious. He loves nature and enjoys watching lightning storms. He’s also a little insecure. If the conversation happens to turn in the direction of his family, he’ll clam up. If you want to get to know him, ask him about his home and his family’s garden.

Caedon’s head hurt. He blinked in the dreary light coming through the narrow window. The floor was hard stone, not carpeted like at home. He lay about halfway between a green door and a round table.
Pushing himself to his feet, Caedon tried to remember how he got here. One moment he’d been listening to his little sister recite a new poem and the next…he was here? He couldn’t tell how long he’d been unconscious, or if he’d even been unconscious.
He reined in his thoughts. Come on, think. What would Dad do? He would find a way out. Caedon approached the green door and tested the latch. It didn’t move. He checked the keyhole. A thin sliver of light filtered through it, promising fresh air and freedom. His cousin Artos could pick the lock easily, but not Caedon. Maybe a window? He checked the nearest of the narrow windows. Even if he broke the glass, the space was too thin to squeeze through. Not to mention getting needled by dagger-thin shards.
For a moment, he focused on the world outside the window. Trees with thick trunks grew close to the window, but their branches curved away from it, as if they feared to touch it. They appeared healthy in every other aspect, though. If only he could reach them.
Caedon pushed himself away from the wall and stalked toward the only other thing in the room: a perfectly circular table with a round map on it. From a distance it appeared to be a map of various islands and continents, but the black lines shifted when he peered closer. Caedon rubbed his bleary eyes and looked again. Now only a single continent appeared on the map. He knew it to be his homeland.
What did all this mean? Caedon huffed out his breath and paced the ground. There were other corridors leading away from the map room, but they were dark and Caedon had no torch. Better to wait and see if anyone would unlock the door. Once he was free, he would roam the forests until he found a way back home.
