Premise of Current Novel

Ambrose is a teen from the Kisaeyah tribe (fictional) in Eastern Africa. His tribe is annihilated by Rebels, the left side of his face is seared by an explosion and his only possessions are the clothes on his back and a sealed ivory scroll case: his father’s one treasure. No one knows the significance of this treasure, but Ambrose intends to know: for the sake of his father and his people. Along the way, he meets Yona and his wife Lydia, a Professor, a Linguist, an Archeologist, and a Historian… each with their own interest in Ambrose and his treasure. Thus leading Ambrose to wonder if the doors that it opened, ought to have remained shut.
