The most important way is that she speaks directly to the narrator. To other characters, it looks like she’s having a conversation with no one, so they usually assume that she’s hallucinating. She often tries to get information out of the narrator that she can use to her advantage, and tends to bicker with the narrator which obviously doesn’t end well.

That sounds hilarious especially since it automatically means you have a voicey narrator! That sounds like just so much fun to read and write!

That’s understandable. I hope that Afrikaans doesn’t die, it seems to have an interesting history. I haven’t really looked into it, but I remember learning about it in school, and I’m pretty sure I put it on my languages list (which I have lost so I can’t check it right now).

It does! It’s supposedly very easy for English speakers to learn as well! It has a very simple grammar and very few conjugations and declenations. (As opposed to Dutch, which conjugates everything)

I read Skyward! It was really good and I can’t wait to read the sequel. I suppose you can always put them on your TBR list if you find them interesting. (I’m always adding to mine.)

Oh, my TBR is always getting longer and longer, but I always end up rereading my favorite books for like the fourth time XD (That’s a conservative estimate I have books I’ve read more than six times)

The standard for acceptable quality is always lower than I expect it to be. I blame my perfectionistic tendencies.

Same! Sometimes you just have to read something, anything, to bring your standards back to a reasonable level.

I use pencil, pen, and digital, mainly. Although I’m having some major issues working out how to use Adobe Illustrator… I have used Kleki.com before, which is limited but functional. I also do some painting with acrylics and have used charcoals (but I think I lost my set).

Once I can find a picture, I can show you the last painting I did.

That’s so cool! I’d love to see it! I use Krita for digital art! It’s free and functions just as well as photoshop, though it’s more geared toward artists and more intuitive to learn. It’s amazing and I love it!

It’s so underrated. The cello is the instrument closest to the human voice in terms of pitch, and you don’t have to stand up to play it like a violin. I’m so glad I switched, since I have bad joints that don’t like standing for long periods of time.

It’s probably the instrument I’d like to play most next to harp! (However I barely have time for harp so adding an instrument is a bad idea XD)

I’d love to try HEMA, but there aren’t any clubs near me. I live in a really rural area… there are horses, though. And so many cows.

I guess there are just more clubs per square kilometer than in America XD

I live really rural too! There’s just a lot of pigs and cows and not much else XD
