I get a high-school diploma end of next schoolyear! If I… yaknow… pass.
You’ll do fine. 🙂
It was awesome! I had a great time! I had three matches and spectacularly lost all three because a. I’ve never done this before and b. everyone I was matched against was wayyy more experienced. But I actually managed to score four points! (Including a head-hit for two points which I’m very proud of) Everyone went easy on me XD
*tries not to be jealous
Hey, you lost spectacularly, that’s the important part. 🙃
Fun fact, an actual fight is not like training and one is still very apt to click into “What am I supposed to do???” even though you theoretically know what to do. (I did. Every time.
That’s not the first time I’ve heard that said. 🙂
And I might end up splitting up most of my chapters because they average about 5000 to 6000 words every time.
I know that feeling. After one of my chapters passed 10k words, I was like ‘yeah, I might have to shorten that a little.’ xD
Just starting a romance instead of a full romance arc.
From what I’ve found, most fantasy and action adventure books that use romance as minor plots do something like that. As long as it’s not abrupt and they ease into the relationship, I’m fine with it. Hard times or personal character arcs turning haters to lovers, or friends to lovers, I love in books, even if it’s not a full romance arc.
Well, the planning was end of March, but that was assuming the book was 100k long. I’m almost 50k in and I still have four or five chapters to the midpoint. So, that would mean it might end up being closer to 150k so I’ll either have to write faster or assume my planning will be slightly slower. It’s not a big issue, but I wanted to get it out of the way before exams.
That’s a good goal. Two more months of 1.5k-2k a day will about do it for you.
