(Sorry it took me so long to post, my family’s elderly dog got sick all of a sudden and was quite a handful to take care of.  We ended up putting him down.  He was 15, we had him for a good 9 years)

“How?” Alessio asked softly, a guarded tint in his eyes.

Jericho smiled thinly.  “Oh, I think we are quite alright.  You have my thanks for the offer, but I must decline.”  I have no reason to trust you.  She was careful to keep the thought to herself.  This Malvat was nothing at all like Ramseur or any of his brood.  She did not like his attitude.
