@everyone
Ok so after I take Dharin out later, who should I bring in next? Here’s a list and brief description (more info available if you want)…
Commander Vulferym: The main villain in my main WIP. He’s cold as ice, but pretends that he cares. He’s rich, demanding, and would get along marvelously with Mother Gothel from Rapunzel. He adores his hands, and has a very weird obsession with them. Like, he talks to them. It’s weird. He’s scheming, and won’t think twice about betraying someone if that would help him (him being Vulferym) in some way. I’ve never written from his perspective before (except I did write a very short non-canon piece, like two paragraphs, to see what it would be like), so I’d be interested to see what he’s like. He hasn’t even made an appearance in my book yet.
Sorgrek: He’s a goblin, one of my characters in a short story I’m working on. He’s a sweetheart, and is rather naïve when it comes to human concepts and items. He loves gold, and will take some risks to get it. He’s kinda impulsive. He also won’t hesitate to give up his gold to save or help someone.
Dana: She’s a healer with the ability to communicate with colors (weird, and something I kind of just now came up with and would like to explore). So, she can shift the colors of the carpet to look like there’s a snake slithering along it, or have the colors of a child’s bruise morph into a flower shape, etc. She’s a dwarf (as in a small person, not as in Gimli from LOTR) and has silver hair down to her ankles. She frequently changes the undertones of it between red and gold, depending on her mood. She’s caring in an aunt-like way, not quite in a motherly way, she’s very wise and observant, and is very good with medicine (kinda goes without saying, but figured it wouldn’t hurt to remind folks of it). I haven’t written much with her, and I’ve never explored her perspective, so I think it would be interesting to try writing her for a change. Also for some reason I have way more male OCs than I do female, and I’m really not sure why I hardly ever write in a female’s perspective. I need practice XD
And last, but not least…
Marek: He’s kind of a side antagonist in my main WIP. He’s a bounty hunter who loves three things: ale, daggers, and fights. And if there’s a tavern wench around, he doesn’t mind that either. He starts fights for the fun of it, and becomes quite dangerous when drunk (although he has a very high tolerance for alcohol, so it takes a lot for him to get to the point of drunkenness). He collects daggers, and don’t you dare touch any of them. He’s interesting to me because I haven’t figured out who exactly he is or what he wants. I think he has too much potential to be just an orphan who fell into bad company when he was a child and just became a bully. But I’m not sure what makes him cry. I don’t know what breaks him. I don’t know where he came from, what all is hidden in that ironclad, stubborn heart of his.
So we’ve got two people who can be bad guys – Marek and Vulferym. And we have a ‘chaotic good’ goblin and a short healer lady who communicates with colors.
