Typically I prefer 3rd person, but in this case 1st might work well, especially if it’s a collective writing project. That way we’ll be writing using the character’s voice rather than our own, so it would be more consistent. We could also do a limited 3rd person just from the older brother’s POV.

@j-a-penrose How should we incorporate the back story into the scene so that the reader understands what’s going on and feels more emotionally attached, and without info dumping?
