Just an idea for the second ship. In the Revolutionary War, John Paul Jones captured the HMS Serapis at the loss of the USS Bon Homme Richard. Both ships were heavily damaged in the battle. (The Bon Homme Richard later sank on its way to port.) The Rose de la Reine could have a similar encounter with the second ship. That would be a simple way to explain its damage and, too a degree, a reason to continue use of a damaged ship.

Sounds good to me! 😀 Can you just remind me real quick as to exactly what room Jaylin is in? I read through all the parts with Jaylin, but I’m still a little confused as to what room he’s in. Is it near that cool mirror thingy? *whispers quietly: “I can’t wait until Esperanza can see herself in that cool mirror thing!”*
