Haha, I promise I had no clue about the origins of Middle Earth until my brother mentioned it just the other day… I was like “Oh no, now people will think I’m copying Tolkien!” Annnd, that’s what happened, lol. The reason I made song such a significant thing in my fantasy world is because I’m a violinist and love music… So I just had to include it somehow.

Unfortunately I don’t have answers to all your questions about Faran and the religion in the story… Like I said right now I just have the rudimentary ideas. But you gave me some food for thought! I’ll have to think on what the majority religion should be… And how they treat the minority.

I really like your ideas for the Song Wardens and their special powers! I also like the idea of different types of Song Wardens. I’m going to have to reread the OT now. 😉

I can tell I’m going to dislike figuring out the evil side of things… 😐 And all the questions that come with that… Such as how to show evil without making the entire book give off a “dark” vibe.

I like what you said about the sorcerers in your story. I feel like including sorcery in a book can be dangerous. Mainly because it actually exists and if the reader goes away viewing it in a positive light… That could be bad. Especially considering the warning about sorcery in Leviticus.

Anyway, I’m also curious about how you are portraying the Hussites vs the Roman Catholics. Are you siding with one or the other in your book?
