Thank you for pointing out the groups to me. That sounds like what I’m looking for. I’ll check them out.

So my husband does various construction and welding (today he’s going to help build a rocket mass heater), but he’s primarily known for blacksmithing. He could do it full time if he wanted, but he enjoys variety and working around other people too much for that. 😊 He makes railings, fireplace tools, knives, and custom ironwork. He loves getting unique custom orders. He does not shoe horses, though he gets asked about it often. In the past, it was common for the local blacksmith to do farrier work as well, but these days they are usually two different occupations.

In the wonderful words of S. D. Smith, I feel called to write “Stories to make us brave.” The stories I’ve worked on the most are fairytale, historical fiction, and fantasy. But I also have ideas for contemporary fiction, sci-fi, and dystopian.

That’s cool that you’re in MO. We can probably meet sometime. I’m in south central MO. Do you ever go to the Baker Creek heritage day festivals in Mansfield? My husband is the demonstrating blacksmith there.
