I love all your babies!! They look so sweet. Was having a snake for a pet a little scary at first…? There’s this kind of snake in TX that has too small a mouth to bite, so we used to play with them whenever we found them, but it took some convincing the first time we did it. 😆

There’s no rhyme or reason to how I pick names. Sometimes I search “names that mean—” Sometimes I name them after people. Sometimes I pick random names off street signs and newspapers. And yes same sometimes @beth20, I may be guilty of saying “NEXT SINGER ON THE RADIO IS MY BOY’S MIDDLE NAME!”

And @katja-r, let me tell you, that is the best thing in the world. If anyone laughs at you about that, tell them they’re missing out. My characters are some of my best friends, my babies, my brothers in arms. They’re stubborn, and they’ve got a mind of their own, and sometimes they insist the story is entirely different from what I had in mind. Feeling that emotion when you’re writing means you’re pouring your heart into it, which means even if your story isn’t perfect, your heart will always shine through.
