@evelyn – Me too! I thought this would be a fun place to practice. Lol, yes, that happened to me as well, and unfortunately that short story is gradually evolving into a novel (as if I don’t have enough of half-finished novels already. xD)

@ariella-newheart – Thank you! It also struck me as being Victorian, a style I haven’t written in since I wrote a Sherlock Holmes fanfiction a few years ago. I’d forgotten how much fun it is. And I love your writing! 😀 You did an excellent job of worldbuilding in such a brief space and made it so deliciously mysterious! (What’s the Mandalorian? It sounds like a cool name.)
