I’m going to dump a lot of beta poems on you, choose which one you like. Be warned, though, two of them are found poems, and the rest were made with my “Edgar Allen Poet” magnet thing, so weird and morbid

Ginger Peppermint

Been months, months more

Never for want of a story

I never, with tears in my eyes, affected to be with mirth

This put me out, very often

Whatever i had within me that was romantic and dreamy

was encouraged by much storytelling,

is not likely to be much learnt.

Anyone can do anything in a life of constant misfortune.

I have slipped and danced,

I’ve climbed and joined sun-split clouds,

Done things you have not dreamed of.

I’ve chased and flung

Through footless halls of air…

I’ve topped heights,

and, while silent,

Put out my hand

fly up to try,

Believe in the unknown,

walk like midnight.

Come fill my skin.

Whisper every dream

 

You love our evil face,

tell-tale shadow,

silent heart,

lonely howl,

full crypt,

dead flower,

cold amontillado,

hole of confusion.

Coffee, oh, coffee

oh how hot my hatred burns

like a scalding gulp

 

chemistry is cool,

but, though, the labs are better

we light stuff on fire
