ABORTION I:
GOD:
I formed them in their mothers’ wombs,
I knew them from the start.
But, now, to see them here so soon,
In Heaven, breaks my heart.I thought of them when time began,
Knew their names from long ago.
I had a purpose for each one,
But now they all will never know.I longed to see their day of birth,
To hear the babies’ cries.
But all I heard was silence,
And tears came to my eyes.No sin had they committed,
Yet they could have no first breath.
Innocence convicted of crime;
For existence put to death.They come to their eternal homes
Far before their time.
I’d planned to shake the earth with them,
But they were killed for crime.When they come to me and ask
Why they were treated this way,
It’s hard for me to answer;
My sorrow’s hard to say.But, I still have children there
Who’ve survived the grip of Hell-
Taken refuge in the Cross
And they know all is not well.Arise, stand firm, my children!
This world doesn’t understand:
There’s a beating heart in there;
I made it with my hand.I call you- send you- give my Word-
In darkness be a light!
They don’t consider them humans,
But they’re precious in my sight.You selfish, prideful, sinful race,
Return under my wing!
Come back- receive my flowing grace
And stop this murderous thing!I made those children, in and out,
Planned them to live and grow,
Gave them purpose and a soul
So they could someday learn to knowAbout my loving heart for them
And for this sinful land.
Someday, they’ll be stood up for
So the world can understand.
