(@holly-anne, @abigail-rebekah) Hi writer people! I’m currently posting 4 of my poems addressing Abortion. I hope you like them and please critique if I need it (and in all honesty, if there’s an issue that I didn’t address in one of the poems, totes tell me and I can add it- I don’t want to miss anything!) But yeah. I hope to someday get these out to the public and publish them somehow, so I’d love critiques!!

P.S., this is gonna be a LOOONNNGGG couple of posts…

    The Lord and I agree
To end it is our notion.
I’ll fight with all I’ve got
    ‘Cause we both abhor abortion.

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭94:19‬ ‭

    Kenzie Pimpo

I formed them in their mothers’ wombs,
I knew them from the start.
But, now, to see them here so soon,
    In Heaven, breaks my heart.

I thought of them when time began,
Knew their names from long ago.
I had a purpose for each one,
But now they all will never know.

I longed to see their day of birth,
    To hear the babies’ cries.
But all I heard was silence,
And tears came to my eyes.

    No sin had they committed,
Yet they could have no first breath.
    Innocence convicted of crime;
    For existence put to death.

They come to their eternal homes
    Far before their time.
I’d planned to shake the earth with them,
But they were killed for crime.

When they come to me and ask
Why they were treated this way,
    It’s hard for me to answer;
    My sorrow’s hard to say.

But, I still have children there
Who’ve survived the grip of Hell-
    Taken refuge in the Cross
And they know all is not well.

    Arise, stand firm, my children!
    This world doesn’t understand:
    There’s a beating heart in there;
I made it with my hand.

I call you- send you- give my Word-
    In darkness be a light!
    They don’t consider them humans,
But they’re precious in my sight.

    You selfish, prideful, sinful race,
    Return under my wing!
Come back- receive my flowing grace
    And stop this murderous thing!

I made those children, in and out,
Planned them to live and grow,
Gave them purpose and a soul
So they could someday learn to know

About my loving heart for them
    And for this sinful land.
Someday, they’ll be stood up for
    So the world can understand.

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭94:19‬ ‭

    Mommy, Mommy, here inside,
Do you look on me with pride?
Do you love me, hope to see
The day when I first start to breathe?

    Mommy, Mommy, don’t you hope
For when I’ll see the world full scope?
Or do you think I’ll bane your life
And fill it with all kinds of strife?

Mommy, Mommy, I hear you say
That life on earth won’t be okay.
That you don’t have money to try
To raise me up- so I must die.

But Mommy! Mommy! Don’t you see?
God takes care of you and me.
Just ask Him and He’ll provide.
    Can’t I live? Won’t you try?

Mommy, now I hear your voice.
Will I really take away your choice?
Is it to have life as you please?
Does my existing cost you ease?

    Mommy, Mommy, what’s it like?
To laugh, or talk, or ride a bike?
What’s it like to see Mom’s eyes,
Soft and caring and comforting cries?

    Mommy, Mommy, tell me true!
Weren’t you once a baby, too?
How is it to first see light?
To see the world and gain your sight?

Mommy, Mommy – so you know –
In case you want to still say no,
Well, in your center, in my core,
I have a beating heart- like yours!

    Mommy, Mommy, tell me so-
Do you still think that I should go?
Or won’t you please protect my life?
It’s all I have besides this plight.

    Mommy, Mommy, from your womb,
Will this dark place be my tomb?
I have purpose- God said so.
So, won’t you please let me grow?

    Mommy, Mommy, hear my cry:
    Do I deserve infanticide?
What have I done wrong, I ask,
To send me up to Heaven so fast?

    Mommy, Mommy, hear my plea!
    Listen to my silent screams!
Please don’t push me far away!
But- there is Heaven, where I’ll stay.

Mommy, I hope you will see
I’m here because Christ died for me.
If you want to see me again,
    I’ll be waiting in Heaven.

And, Mommy, I want you to know
That even though you let me go,
I forgive you, though and through-
You’re still my Mommy and I still love you.

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”

(Okay- longest Abortion poem so far but it’s also my favorite so far. :))

    Abortion, here we are:
    Logic, Facts, Morality
You think we are you friends,
    But we are your enemies.

We came here when you called,
Bustled o’er to hear your side.
    But, we cannot protect you-
No, with us you cannot hide.

I, Logic, come to hear you-
    But you’re full of fallacy.
    Abortion, hear me out:
    Heed wisdom and honesty.

Though you say you save a life,
    You are lying to yourself.
    Though you stop an inconvenience,
You do it through a death.

    When you are argued after,
    You take to the extremes:
Cases of rape and incest; you
    Call yourself necessity.

Lack of money, lack of help,
They are called causes of worth.
But they’re no reason to kill-
To send one from this earth!

You call it all for shame
    When you aren’t listened to.
    You ignore the other options
That are placed beside of you.

    There are people out to help;
    Not like you who terminate…
    People loving and for life-
    Loving and compassionate.

    Abortion, you’re all faulty-
Two wrongs don’t make a right!
    I’m certainly not with you:
Go, run! Be put to flight.

I, Facts, now come to hear you
    With Science as my friend.
You called to me for aid, but
Let me teach you from my end.

You say that you are moral:
No, not taking life at all!
But when is it you say
That it’s not a tissue ball?

Is it when it starts to form?
    Is it when conception starts?
Is it when you hear the first beat
    Of a tiny, little heart?

Is it when you see the hands?
When you see the little feet?
Is it when it leaves the birth canal,
    Giving sharp cries, so discreet?

You ignore me when I say
That your point of view is flawed.
It’s a life from the beginning,
Given from the hands of God.

    You say that it’s dependant,
So it holds no life, it seems…
Along with all the babies BORN
    That I have ever seen?

    You can’t deny that it’s a life;
    Why do you even try?
    I apologize, Abortion-
But I am not on your side.

    I, Morality, come to hear…
    I am your largest threat.
You try hard to ignore me,
    But I am constant, yet.

You’ve tried to be my friend,
By saying you’re moral and wise.
But it’s time to remove masks
    And take off your disguise.

All the mothers, all the girls,
They know it in their hearts.
    I am the Holy Spirit,
    Fighting Satan’s fiery darts.

    They say that you’re immoral,
    But they choose you anyway-
    Pro-Choice but don’t abort…
They don’t know that they’re the same.

When they choose you, they regret it
‘Cause they know I was ignored.
I tell them that it’s murder,
But I’m pushed right out the door.

    Abortion, I just hate you.
If the world would listen to me,
I’d destroy you with my all-
I am not your friend, indeed!

The three of us, we’ve come
    At your hopeless, desperate call.
    But we will not defend you;
We’ll go and make you fall.

    You’re calling to your enemies
    And we will not delay.
We know your faults and weakest points:
    We’ll show the world, today.

“When anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought me joy.”
    ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭94:19‬ ‭

    Kenzie Pimpo

    I’m dreaming of a day
When we can all look back
    To when abortion was legal
And be sure it’s just the past.

    I’m dreaming of a day
    When Logic is restored-
    When Facts are listed honestly
    And Morality isn’t ignored.

    I’m dreaming of a day,
In the war where good will win,
Where the Lord will be victorious
    Over this battle of sin.

    I’m dreaming of a day
When the world will finally see
    How abortion was a stain
    On America’s history.

    I’m dreaming of a day
    When it’s wholly recognized
That a fetus is a baby,
    No matter what its size.

    I’m dreaming of a day,
    Once this masquerade is done,
    That abortion will mean death
And the light of truth would come.

    I’m dreaming of a day
    When everyone can see
That there’s nothing just as precious
    As a born, living baby!

    I’m dreaming of a day
    When the world sees pregnancy
As a blessing- not a curse-
A show of God’s great majesty!

    I’m dreaming of a day,
    When despite a violent act,
    Abortion’s not an option
And we won’t shame those attacked.

    I’m dreaming of a day,
Once we all can look back when,
And forgive all those who strayed-
    Maybe see them in Heaven.

    I’m dreaming of a day
    When anyone can ask:
    “Was abortion wrong?”
    And get an immediate yes.

    I’m dreaming of a day
    When abortion’s dead and gone.
I’ll pray and word to bring it closer…
‘Til the day I dream of is come.

WOW!!!!!!!!! This was sooo AMAZING 🙂

I love these poems. They are really sad but are written very well. It is so good that you are speaking out against abortion. My favourites are probably 2 and 3, but I love them all!!

I can’t wait for more. Thanks for tagging me 🙂

@abigail-rebekah, thanks! I very much agree that they’re sad (I was crying in the shower when I came up with of most of Abortion #1) but thank you. I mean… if we don’t speak out, who will?

Glad you liked them! You can be sure that I’ll keep dishing them out until ‘the day I dream of is come'{ 😉 }!

    (And oops @holly-anne, this didn’t work before… :p)

This is amazing. I almost cried reading #1 and #2, and I don’t cry reading poetry very often.

This was a great time for me to see it since my WIP is also about abortion.

    Thanks for sharing your gift.

How we chose to fight is just as important as what we fight for

    Kenzie Pimpo

@kayla-skywriter: I’m glad you liked them. Really? That’s cool that your WIP is about abortion… you know, I’d love to see it sometime! (that is if you don’t mind. 🙂 )

These are amazing – and heartbreaking. My favorite was Part 2.

Thanks, @holly-anne! *high-five* I’m glad God gave me a love of writing poetry because I’m not sure I’d be about to get my voice out in the good fight otherwise… seeing as talking/debating isn’t quite my thing in person. So, when I hear good reports on them, it makes me so happy!

: Nice to meet you, and thanks! 🙂 #2 was fun/sad to write.
