Thank you! I really appreciate all your honesty and feedback!

On my end, it seems I overcorrected and over-edited quite a bit; in attempting to cut unnecessary “fluff,” I deleted characterization and backstory. Your suggestions made me realize I need to get back to the core of the story, more of who it’s about rather than what it’s about.

I won’t be able to begin edits until Monday or so, but I may go through another round of critiques after that. If your story is still in need of feedback as well, I’d be happy to finish looking over it (I apologize for breaking off so abruptly. Moving and settling in these past few weeks was crazier then I’d thought!)
