Gwyneth fell limp in Finley’s arms, and she immediately checked the girl’s vitals. Alive still, good. Finley then deposited her into Eden’s arms. He looked confused, but when she kissed Gwyneth’s forehead, then his cheek, he knew what was going to happen.

“Finley, don’t go,” he said, leaning the girl onto him and taking an arm to touch her shoulder, “He could tear you apart.”

Nodding, she slid his arm off of her, “I know, that’s why I have a Mecca. I’ll be safe, Eden.”

Finley knocked her bracelets together and the metal suit flooded her body, flushing out the seeming weakness of her physique. Now Finley was a walking war machine, her hands pointed to what used to be Dr. Marnin and she fired her light cannons.
