@evelyn Alas, the only real debates I’ve had are with counter protestors who hate my guts and internet trolls. XP I wish I could have done regulated, civilized debate before that though. I take it you do debate?
@j-a-penrose XD Well, we have Elvish in our name and an awesome description, so I am happy indeed. I can’t wait to hopefully contribute to some of the contests and rack up points for our guild. I’ve never actually won any creative contests…but then again, I haven’t entered one in a very long time. Greater miracles have happened. XP
Good question! The dictionary definition of a “furry” is someone who loves anthropomorphic animal characters and actively creates art, stories and cosplays (fursuiting) of them. <3 Unfortunately, there is a false definition circulating that furries are perverted creeps who are weird, mentally unstable, and actually believe/wish they are animals. (And that’s the light side of the rumors). Also, unfortunately, it is a very sexually dark community. Lots of porn and LGBTQ celebration.
So, I’m a furry because I love animal characters alot. Like, sometimes I connect to them even more than human characters. But I want to infiltrate and create alternative stories that are subtly written from a perspective that points back to Christ and His goodness. Maybe the furry community will connect to and even look up to (BIG maybe) those stories and there can be more light in this community.
I will say, something the community does right is being very nonjudgemental (obviously, they’ve gone a little far with it). It is a little weird, but it’s also super, super creative.
Anyway, long response, but thanks for asking! Do we have any other writers here who like stories with animal characters?
