Well, here are some options, I guess.

• A gentle (or very not gentle!) character whose heart is touched by God
• A stubborn character that watches someone martyred for their faith and wants to have the same humility & strength as them.
• A proud character that is humbled by watching someone martyred
• A character that attends church without their family knowing and is kind of “converted” when they decide not to hide it anymore. (Say, the homily/sermon is about Matthew 5:15-16)

I really like that last one, but there’s lots of good ones we could do.
