*crawls out of the darkness hissing at the light blinding me* Greetings my smol ones, I return from my miserable sickbed. Just now getting my energy back. Evidently I’m not an adult because I caught a kid virus from my little nephews. Joy. But I’m back and kinda freaking out at what has transpired this whole time I’ve been asleep. Amazing guys.

She couldn’t feel anything really. Not the way real people could. Tinke stood there quietly while the beetles swarmed her. The others hadn’t noticed because it had gone away so quickly. But now it was back. She had several torn pieces of flesh now, the beetles ripping chunks away in their fury. Tiny veins of wood spiraled out of the openings, closing off the injured areas. Tinke deciding that she didn’t like the bugs, screamed as high pitched as she could.

“Hey, uh…it’s going to be alright,” Riley stammered. He glanced up at the rumbling ceiling again, glancing behind to make sure the other girl was following. When Luna stopped he circled in front of her, realizing that she couldn’t see. Overheated. Man that had really tricky timing. Hesitating a moment, not really sure how to do this, he looped an arm around her shoulders, before bending and sliding his other arm around her knees, pulling her up. Wow, she didn’t weigh that much. Compared to Eryn she weighed as light as a feather. Realizing what he had just said inside his head, Riley grimaced. Good thing Eryn hadn’t been around to hear that.

He started forward again, freezing in front of a door. The ceiling stopped rumbling. Looking up, he saw the reason. A huge hole had appeared, large and gaping. A chattering sound sent chills down his spine. He definitely didn’t want to stick around and figure out what had made that sound. Glancing at the girl behind, he carried Luna through the door into a long hallway lit by torches down the way.
