@noahlitle I like your idea, but I’m not sure it would classify as a happy ending. I think a happy ending (whether or not there’s sadness mixed with it) should first be heart-warming.

@literatureforthelight Perhaps the plot could be based around a misunderstanding. Like, the protagonist thinks that nobody cares about him or they’re trying to hurt him, and then at the end he realizes he misunderstood everything and it was the exact opposite.
