@daeus-lamb This is one of the most fascinating articles (or articles-to-be) that I have read recently. Sadly, schoolwork has put off any larger WIP for a later time, so I would probably only be able to use this to a small extent in short pieces.

I have actually done some of this in terms of oaths, especially after I noticed the use of oaths in Sabaa Tahir’s books, such as “Skies, he had seen me” (not an actual quote). So I have had my fantasy characters swear by things that were important in their culture.

@corissa Are you majoring in linguistics/language? Or is this class one of your electives? (I’m a little curious since I’m thinking about majoring in linguistics.) 🙂
