As promised 😉 I hope you don’t mind… please feel free to let me know if you do mind, though!What I Read: Reading The Brothers Karamazov, Listening to audios of Tale of Two Cities (Dickens),& Fiddler’s Gun (A.S. Peterson). Finished The House of Mirth (Edith Wharton).
All recommended, by the way, for their own, respective merits.
What I Wrote: Not much. Still brainstorming.
What I Learned: I have difficulty keeping my characters unique, and need to work on this. 🙂

Wow, those sound like some really good books! I’m familiar with the first too, but have only read an abridged version of Tale of Two Cities…the last two books sound really cool! (My to-read list just keeps on expanding…😀)
Yeah, I’ve done A LOT of brain storming this past year, too.
What I Read: Fierce Convictions, David Copperfield, Micheal Strogoff, Peace Like a River. I only read like 27 books last year…which is kinda sad.
What I Wrote: “This Moment” (flash fiction) “Locked” and “The Ten Lamps” (short stories)
What I learned: I don’t know anything about writing…😛

Yeah, actually I found some wonderfully read classic/public domain audiobooks for free (no account is even needed) from LibriVox.org. If you would some recommendation/links – let me know!

Yeah, I’m familiar with LibriVox! It’s awesome! I mostly listened to it when I was younger…I should go check it out again.
Yes, Hannah More is like my new historical hero! I love learning about obscure people in history who did amazing things, without all the fame and attention. She was a really forward thinking woman for her day and she had some really good ideas…I loved learning about her. I think everybody should read the book.
Yeah, I really want to read Oliver Twist too! 😀
“This Moment” is about a mom who comes home from a stressful work day really tired and desperately wanting some me-time, away from her noisy kids. She’s kinda grouchy and just wants to be left alone, but in the end she realizes that in only a short time, her kids will be gone and she’ll have years of “me-time” and she knows that she’ll regret not spending the time she had with her children. So in the end, she reads her kids a book.
It really needs some help…I think I’m going to rewrite it cause it’s not very good.

😀 Awesome! I found Elizabeth Klett to be an EXCELLENT reader of the classics (I listened to her solo of The House Of Mirth, and she also read the part of Jane in the dramatized reading of Pride and Prejudice – both on LibriVox/Internet Archive). 🙂
Yes! Totally agree with you about Hannah More. I wish they’d make a biopic film about her one day.

YES!! They should make a movie about her life…although it would drive me CRAZY if they blotched it up. Like portrayed her in the wrong sort of way, if you know what I mean.

Absolutely correct. I hate it when biopics are made badly. I was really impressed with HBO’s John Adams (2008). Some liberty was taken with facts but overall it was rather accurate and good.

Yeah, I so agree!! I’ve heard of the John Adams movie, but I haven’t seen it. 🙂
