Karim cocked his head. “Or… you could lower the gun and we could all be friends.”

He managed to quietly unhook his staff cylinder, holding it down by his waist still so as to hopefully not draw the guy with the gun’s attention to it. He didn’t want to have to use his powers again so soon, especially since he wasn’t sure what this guy could do yet.

Aleck’s fists clenched, but he still didn’t make a move, and Karim hoped it’d stay that way. Delton took a step back, but kept a hold of the map. Karim vaguely wondered where his dagger had gone. Whatever. Delton would have plenty of time to draw it. After all, if there was a fight, and that looked pretty likely, Karim planned on drawing the attention to himself.
