@obrian-of-the-surface-world, hello and welcome to Parimi Alca! It’s always great to meet another writer who is so purpose driven! Here’s a question for you: in your writing, do you believe that you are called to encourage and challenge other Christians or reach non-Christians (or both)?

I’m actually co-writing a book with a friend, too. It’s been fun and is going pretty well, but I must admit we’ve been working on it for five months and haven’t gotten very far. It’s definitely a learning experience for both of us, though. The biggest problem with it for me is my tendency to make decisions quickly, and then change major details a hundred times until I find something I’m satisfied with. That would probably drive anyone else crazy, so I’ve had to restrain myself from doing that. xD

It’s pretty cool that you’re able to just write a chapter and publish it without much pre-planning, and still stay consistent. I’m more of a pantser myself, but my writing process involves a lot of writing chapters, disliking them, destroying them, writing multiple other versions, and finally choosing one I’m satisfied with before moving on, only to change major details later on and completely rewrite parts. Because of that, I usually don’t show people things until I’m certain that’s the option I’m going with. It can be kind of awkward to try and explain to them why I changed this huge thing that they thought was perfectly good. xD
