I love A.A. Milne!  I can’t believe I forgot about him!  And I’m an all-round Winnie the Pooh lover <3

As for resources or books, I actually don’t have any.  (which is probably not a good thing).  The way I learned was from reading other poets’ works.  I would love any suggestions anyone has.

Here’s the funniest, earliest poem I wrote.  It makes me laugh so hard! XD

Dick

We looked around from shop to shop,
Trying to find a big red mop.

I’m sorry to say, we had no luck–
Instead we bought a small, pet duck.

I named him Dick, for I liked that name,
And it never did change, he stayed the same.

Dick then became my new best friend
And our friendship never did end,

Until he did die, oh my poor Dick!
For cholera came ’round and he got so sick.

He died the next night, and I was so sad
I cried so hard that I nearly went mad!

“We are all sad,” the pastor did say,
For Dick’s funeral was the very next day.

So that’s the story of my pet, Dick,
And I hope you find a friend, so dear, but not sick!
