@steward-of-the-pen Man, I can relate. Most of mine have been dragged away as well.

Okay, so I think we need to go about this is in a slightly more logical order, because everything leads from everything and we mostly have a bunch of random tidbits at the moment. So, I think some of the first questions to ask are:

• Do physics work differently?

Do the dragons, metal and living, have a reason for being able to fly, or are physics different?

• What races are there?

Any besides dragons and humans (or is our main race not humans)?

• Are the humans(/other main race) inwardly the same? (For story purposes, that’s probably best.)

Consciences? Instincts?

• Is there magic?

Who can practice magic? How does magic work? How do you learn magic? What are the magical limits?
