    @evelyn Thanks so much.  It was an unexpected blessing – all glory to God!
    Apologetics is my favorite.  I love it for many reasons, but perhaps the most important one is that I have been able to grow so much in my understanding of God’s character and the Bible and the Gospel, and also in my relationship with him through studying and meeting at our apologetics club.
    Your case for Mock Trial sounded really interesting and neat – you must have had so much fun debating it!  Sometime, I’d love to see a Mock Trial round. 🙂
    You’re doing TP this year?  Through NCFCA?  I’ve heard a lot of great things about it from friends who have competed in it, although I’ve never done it before.
    As for LD, it’s a great experience.  It deals a lot with ideals and morals and values and is very philosophical.  I like it because it has taught me the importance of quick thinking on my feet, precision, logic, and rhetoric.  It doesn’t use evidence to prove points or rely on it so much as TP, but there are times when evidence is good for support.  Mainly, we debate values like justice or liberty…etc… Also, I like cross-examination.  That’s my favorite part. 🙂 I think there are difficult parts in any type of debate and in different areas.  But I have grown to love LD.  The most difficult parts I suppose would be finding the time to do the work, getting interested in the case at the beginning of the year, and grasping philosophies that are foreign – Hobbs, Locke, Rawls, etc… They’re all helpful, but I still struggle with understanding them!

    @anne-of-lothlorien Awesome!  Thanks!
