Ahh, cool! I was thinking of doing that in my WIP. There is a big event that happened when my MC was a puppy that effects a lot in his life, and knowing about it could destroy his relationship with a character he depends on (who does know about it and might be afraid of him finding out and wonders if she should tell him so he can make the right decision). I think I’ll give it a try.

Thanks! I had kinda thought this would be the beginning, but on a second thought it would be better later on (maybe closer to the climax?) Do you know of any good resources for writing short stories? Many that I’ve read were more like a very lengthy snippet with a problem that was resolved rather than a full-fledged story. I’ve done several for writing assignments and some stories from my own experience but I’ve never been successful with a short creative story.

I’m leaving this afternoon and will be gone until Sunday. Is it alright if I post this week’s lesson next week?
